Student life
At each of our centres you’ll find there’s a vibrant social scene, combining the best the host city has to offer and a huge choice of things to do through the centre itself.
Ever thought about joining a debating or cooking club? Want to go abseiling or play football, netball or any other kind of sport? Why not think about joining one of the many clubs and societies at your chosen centre. You could even start your own.
And don’t forget the many social events that are organised for and by the students. Freshers week kicks things off in September with a variety of events to help you get to know your fellow LL.B and College of Law students, including quizzes, comedy nights, city tours and, of course, the freshers fair and party. Other events throughout the year have included a Hawaiian night, summer and end-of-year balls and staff-versus-student pub quizzes, to name just a very few.
Wherever you’re studying, the cities of Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Guildford, London and York have lots to offer to keep you entertained, from cinemas, galleries and theatres, to live music, shopping and restaurants.
But of course, the important bit is getting your legal career off to a flying start and with excellent pro bono opportunities you’ll be able to enhance your CV too. You’ll be surrounded by people who, like you, want to pursue a legal career. This means you’ll be well placed to start forming your professional connections with people you know will be entering the same profession as you.
