Local Government Diploma
The Diploma in Local Government Law & Practice is a one-year, self-study course, which aims to encourage solicitors and barristers in local government or carrying out local government work in the private sector to take advantage of an opportunity to research more deeply into this branch of the law. Candidates must complete three, 4000-word projects successfully, pass an open book examination and fulfil specified eligibility criteria to be awarded the Diploma.
The course is administered by The College of Law on behalf of the Law Society and is accredited by the Bar Council and the SRA for CPD.
