Higher Rights of Audience
The College of Law is the leading provider of Higher Rights training in the UK. We offer three routes to achieving the Higher Rights of Audience qualification:

The Higher Rights Development Route
Trainee solicitors can meet PSC elective requirements by taking this route.
- 3 consecutive days of face-to-face tuition in the Academic Stage and a day of distance learning
- A written assessment
- 3 consecutive days of face-to-face tuition in the Advocacy Stage
- Advocacy assessment.
The Higher Rights Accreditation Route
The College of Law is an SRA accredited assessor for the Accreditation route. The SRA has confirmed that this route to Higher Rights will close on 31 December 2008. If you have any queries, please contact the SRA on 0870 606 2555. We provide preparatory courses for advocacy assessment subject to demand. Call us to find out more.
- Optional preparation course (2 days) or the 3 day Advocacy Stage of the Development Route
- Advocacy assessment.
Our Higher Rights Development courses are offered as public courses available on a range of dates at our London centre. They can also be delivered in-house at your firm. There is a discount for booking the whole programme at once. Our optional preparation course for the Accreditation route is available in-house only.
The third route is The College of Law Diploma in Advocacy, which is delivered in-house only, anywhere in the UK
