Introduction to Professional Practice
Our unique new ‘Introduction to Professional Practice’ programme focuses on professional conduct and developing financial and commercial awareness. It is specifically designed to help you hit the ground running when you start your training contract by testing your legal writing, drafting, research, interviewing and advisory skills in a realistic context as part of your formal assessments.
Specialised study routes
You can tailor your course to suit your career plans. We were the first provider to offer specialist study routes, catering for the full spectrum of legal careers. This allows you to tailor your training and focus on your chosen field, while still giving you an element of flexibility. All the core practice areas you study will be tailored to your chosen route and feature realistic case studies to develop your understanding of the business needs of the type of firm you want to work for. We also offer the widest choice of vocational elective subjects and this specialisation will help you to stand out in the crowded market for training contracts.

Expert guidance and support
Our LPC is delivered by experienced legal practitioners with hands-on experience. You’ll be able to track your progress throughout the course via mock assessments and open-book exams, regular oral and written feedback, and one-to-one meetings with personal tutors. Our tutors are freely available to offer advice and support in person outside class, as well as by e-mail or telephone.
Fast-track LL.M and LL.B awards
By completing the LPC with the College you’ll earn 60 Masters level credits and be a third of the way towards our LL.M Masters of Law degrees. You only need to complete three further modules and a final assignment to achieve the full LL.M.
And if you’ve successfully completed our GDL and pass the LPC at the College, you’ll graduate with an LL.B law degree – a clear demonstration of your abilities that will enhance your CV.
