How to apply

BPTC (commencing 2010)
The following study modes are available:
- Full-time (Birmingham and London)
- Part-time – weekend (London)
Apply online through the Bar Standards Board (BSB) at www.barprofessionaltraining.org.uk
Note: Whilst the BSB states a closing date for applications of 2pm on 7 January 2010, The College of Law still encourages late applications (but all applications must be made through the BSB).
Full-time and part-time applications will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis and offers will be made until the course is full.
Joining an Inn of Court
You must join an Inn of Court before you can start the BPTC.
Please note that some Inns of Court will not accept applications from 2010 students beyond 31 May. Please contact the relevant Inn for further details.
Bar aptitude test
The BSB may be introducing a Bar aptitude test for 2011 start. Further details can be obtained via the Bar Standards Board website.
