Advice and support
Support from day one
From the day you accept a place at the College, there’s a well-oiled support structure to provide help and feedback when you need it.
Throughout your training you’ll have the support of experienced professionals, as well as regular opportunities to interact and share ideas with students on the other courses we offer.
You’ll have personal tutors who’ll monitor your performance and welfare throughout your course. They’ll be available for face-to-face appointments or contactable by phone or email. With regular feedback, our aim is to ensure that you pass your exams and consistently perform to the best of your ability.
Accommodation
The College of Law does not own any accommodation itself, but we can help you find somewhere to stay while you study with us. Once you’ve accepted a place at the College, our dedicated centre teams can give you all the information you need to find suitable properties to rent. We also have a housemate finder system to help you find a College housemate to share with. We can also supply part-time students with a list of local B&Bs.
Part-time study
To ensure part-time study isn’t a lonely experience, we’ve developed support systems including:
- Access to tutors when you need it - either by phone, e-mail or during your face-to-face tuition
- Access to our online study resources
- Study manuals and directed self-study guides
- Regular online discussion board sessions
Counselling
Should you need it, there’s a professional, confidential counselling service to help you with any personal issues you may have.
Special needs
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all who seek access to our courses and to help students with special needs to access all of their learning materials and all of our facilities.
There’s a special needs contact at each of our centres to make sure we do everything we can to support all our students, no matter their requirements. If you’ve got a particular concern, contact Admissions on 0800 328 0153 or e-mail admissions@lawcol.co.uk.
We can accommodate most special needs situations. If you do have special requirements, you can contact the relevant centre to discuss your specific needs in more detail.

When the College agrees that your needs can be met, we require you to formalise the agreement by entering into a learning contract with us.
Requests for special arrangements for course assessments must be supported by appropriate evidence of special needs. Evidence required may include diagnostic evidence and/or an assessment of your study needs in relation to the relevant course. To help the practitioner assessing your needs, we can provide guidance on the information we require.
