Students must have completed the Academic Stage of Training before starting a
Legal Practice Course, i.e. the results of any examination(s) must be
published, including resits.
The Academic Stage is completed by obtaining a Qualifying Law Degree (i.e.
recognised by The Solicitors Regulation Authority), by passing the
Graduate Diploma in Law (or Common Professional Examination), or by obtaining
appropriate exemptions.

Course fees are payable in four instalments, in August and December of each of
the two years of the course. Please refer to the College website for more
detailed information.
It is important that all relevant sections are completed fully and accurately
to avoid processing delays. As you go through the steps in completing this
application form, if there is anything that you need to explain, or would like
to add in support of your application, please do so in the comments field
(shown in Step 10). If insufficient information is provided, then The College
of Law may need to contact you to obtain the missing information before your
application can be processed. Therefore it is important that you read the
guidance notes for each step in full before moving on to the next step.
