Local Government PSC
What?
Developed in association with Solicitors in Local Government (SLG), this tailored PSC programme is specifically designed to meet the needs of trainees working in local government. The two-year programme comprises two tailored residential courses and one further core module and elective to be chosen from our main PSC programme. The residential course is run in conjunction with the Local Government Weekend School – the major training and networking event for qualified local government lawyers.
Who?
The PSC is a compulsory SRA requirement for all trainee solicitors undertaking a training contract. You may only attend the PSC if you have successfully completed your Legal Practice Course or an integrated course. This tailored PSC is aimed specifically at trainee solicitors working in local government.
Why?
- Specialist training specifically tailored to local government practice
- Designed and delivered by experienced practitioners, many of whom are specialists in local government law
- Unrivalled networking opportunities through the Local Government Weekend School
- Opportunity to personalise the course by choosing a fourth elective to meet your needs

PSC course fees
The course fee includes tuition at the two residential core module courses and the three residential elective courses, plus the additional core module and remaining elective course, which can be selected from our main PSC programme.
