Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test
(QLTT)
Being qualified in multiple jurisdictions greatly increases the marketability of individual lawyers and the capability of their firms. The Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) is regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and enables international lawyers, Scottish solicitors and barristers of England and Wales to practise as solicitors in England and Wales.

SRA review of QLTT
The SRA is currently considering changes to the QLTT system. As yet these proposals are not finalised and there is no certain date on which any new regulations will be introduced.
You should not let this deter you from registering to do the QLTT, as there will be a commitment to ensure that students who have started on the current system can complete their qualification under those regulations.
