How do I get a Certificate of Eligibility?

You need to apply for this from the SRA. The application form can be downloaded from their website: www.sra.org.uk

Do I have to pay for my Certificate of Eligibility?

Yes, the SRA charge is currently £400.

How long does it take to get my Certificate of Eligibility?

It can take up to eight weeks so it is important to apply to the SRA as early as possible.

Tuition and revision

How much tuition do I have to do?

There are no compulsory tuition requirements but in our experience, candidates benefit from a full programme of study and revision prior to sitting the Test.

What tuition do you offer?

We offer a distance learning pack and weekend courses of face-to-face tuition. Our distance learning pack contains recommended study manuals, tests to aid progress and assignments. You will also receive support with specific subject queries and advice on how to prepare for the Test. Our tuition sessions take place at the weekend at our London Moorgate centre. They are delivered by qualified lawyers and based around our distance learning materials. For more information, see QLTT study & revision options.

What revision do you offer?

We offer face-to-face revision sessions and online revision options for all Heads. Our online revision tool allows you to refresh and test your knowledge, using a blend of computer-based interactive learning materials. Our four-hour face-to-face revision sessions take place at our London Moorgate centre on a range of dates prior to each Test sitting. They are designed to help you refine test technique and perform to the best of your ability. For more information, see QLTT study & revision options.

Do you offer mock Tests?

Yes. Mock tests are available for Heads I to III. We e-mail you the paper and you return it to us for marking by the date specified. We then mark it and return it to you, so you have feedback on your performance before the Test. For more information, see QLTT study & revision options.

Do you offer any inclusive packages?

Yes. We offer two inclusive packages that allow you to make a 20% saving when booking a full programme of study, revision and Test – our distance learning package and our face-to-face package. We also offer a fast-track route for Head III that allows you to complete your training and take the Test within seven days. For more information, see QLTT study & revision options.

How long are the distance learning materials valid for?

The course materials are reviewed/updated annually and are valid for one year from 1 July and running through to 30 June the next year.  If a candidate purchases material before 30 June and then needs to sit/resit after 1 July, they will be required to purchase the updated course material.  Any major changes in legislation and/or regulations will be included in a separate update distributed to candidates.  It is the responsibility of the candidate to track and monitor minor changes.
