International Practice Diploma Programme

The International Practice Diploma programme is an internationally-recognised qualification that is designed to enable lawyers to practise law overseas. It is a joint programme, devised by The College of Law and the International Bar Association (IBA) with input from leading global law firms.

Covering both English and international law, the programme is ideal for newly qualified lawyers as well as those who want to enhance their skills in particular practice areas. The Diploma also offers CPD accreditation for solicitors in England and Wales.

There are two diploma programmes each year, which run for approximately six months, starting in January and July. The distance learning format is designed to overcome jurisdictional boundaries, allowing participants to study at their own pace, in any location.

On completion of each individual diploma, participants are awarded a Practice Diploma. These are awarded jointly by the College and the IBA.
