Learning by doing
At The College of Law you will get more than just a law degree. Expert tutors – all qualified, practice-experienced lawyers – work face-to-face with small groups of students using a problem-based learning approach. You’ll learn the essential analytical, research, teamwork and communication skills every successful solicitor or barrister needs.
Unique to the College GDL is a carefully co-ordinated and structured mix of learning methods, using a variety of cutting-edge, multi media tools to ensure you gain the most from your study.
Preparing you for practice
Our unique Preparing for Practice module is the best way to gain first-hand experience of real-life situations. The practical application of the knowledge and skills learned in our lectures and small group workshops, supported by our innovative online learning resources, gives you the edge over other candidates in the competitive job market.
Two day timetabling on our full-time course
You can choose to have all your face-to-face tuition concentrated into two set days per week on our full-time courses*. This enables you to reduce your travelling costs and CO2 emissions by consolidating your visits whilst allowing you flexibility to manage your study..Please note however you may have to come into College on additional days for assessments.

Get yourself on the fast-track to an LL.B
Complete a GDL with The College of Law and go on to successfully complete our Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) and you’ll graduate with an LL.B law degree, without any additional study or cost.
And when you complete an LPC or BPTC with us, you’ll earn a third of the credits towards our LL.M Master of Laws degree.
