What is StEP?
StEP is a comprehensive online legal careers programme containing a range of resources from written advice and online workshops to practical activities and useful weblinks. The programme consists of 10 Steps:
- Step 1: Understanding the legal market
- Step 2: Assessing your employability
- Step 3: Planning your legal career
- Step 4: Researching legal recruiters
- Step 5: Gaining experience and making contact
- Step 6: Writing legal CVs and covering letters
- Step 7: Completing application forms
- Step 8: Preparing for interviews
- Step 9: Preparing for assessments
- Step 10: Managing your career
Steps 1-3 are open to everyone, but you need to register as a member of our Future Lawyers Network to access steps 4-10. Once you have accepted your place at the College you will have access to all 10 steps, plus our exclusive JobSearch database and one-to-one careers advice.
