The College of Law in Manchester

Opening in 2009, our Manchester Centre will be a brand new law school in the heart of the city.

Located in New York Street in the Piccadilly area of Manchester, this is a thriving, regenerated commercial quarter close to some of the North West’s leading law firms.  The area is exceptionally well connected with great transport links.

The College of Law in Manchester will be the base for students on our Graduate Diploma in Law and our Legal Practice Course, as well as for trainees on our Professional Skills Course and qualified lawyers attending our professional development training programmes.

The Centre will feature state-of-the-art learning resources including fully specified PC suites and a first-class legal library – in fact everything you would expect from a modern and professional learning environment.  And of course you will be able to access the College’s full range of support services on site including our careers and pro-bono teams.

Covering over 22,000 square feet our Manchester Centre promises to become a welcome new asset to the local law community.  It has already been warmly welcomed by the city’s leading commercial firms, including Eversheds, Addleshaw Goddard, Beachcrofts, Berrymans Lace Mawer, DLA Piper, Hammonds, Hill Dickinosn, Pannone, Pinsent Maysons and Weightmans.

"The College of Law's training is excellent, which is why we now direct all our future trainees to the College’s LPC.  An additional North West Centre is great news for Manchester.”

Ian Austin, Managing Partner at Halliwells

"I welcome the College's further investment in Manchester and more widely in the North West. It is vital for the future of our region that we invest in the training and development of the next generation of business advisors and equip them to deal with the unique challenges that they are going to face”.

Paul Lee, Senior Partner at Addleshaw Goddard
