Legal Advice - London

The College of Law centre in London offers 3 different services providing FREE legal advice/assistance to members of the public.

1. Legal Advice Centre

Do you have a non urgent legal problem on which you would like written advice?

From September to May our students offer FREE preliminary legal advice.  All advice is given in writing after an interview and under the strict supervision of qualified staff.  Interviews are by prior appointment only after an initial telephone assessment of your case.

Our students may be able to help tenants with housing problems such as rent arrears, disrepair, return of deposits and homeless people with their applications for council housing. We may be able to help employees with problems such as grievance and disciplinary, redundancy and dismissal, as well as discrimination or harassment at work.

2. Deaf Legal Service

Run in partnership with Andrea’s School of British Sign Language, our student advisors may be able to help you with the assistance of a BSL interpreter. They will give you written advice on your legal problem under the supervision of qualified lawyers. Please text brief details of your enquiry to: 07722 360 177 or email ssadvice.centre@lawcol.co.uk.

3. Tribunal Representation Service

If you are a leaseholder and are in dispute with your freeholder over service charges, major works or want to appoint a new managing agent and wish to apply to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal then our students may be able to represent you in your case.
