Bristol

We will be opening a brand-new centre in Bristol in September 2010.

Located within the city’s Temple Quarter, the centre will be close to many key law firms in Bristol’s fast expanding business district and to the heart of the city centre.  The College will occupy some 20,000 sq ft on the ground and first floors of Temple Circus – a striking modern office building within a few minutes walk of Bristol Temple Meads Station.

The centre will feature state-of-the-art learning resources including fully specified PC suites and a first-class legal library – in fact everything you would expect from a modern and professional learning environment.  And of course you will be able to access the College’s full range of support services on site including our careers and pro-bono teams.

The College of Law in Bristol will be a base for students on our Graduate Diploma in Law and our Legal Practice Course, as well as for trainees on our Professional Skills Course and qualified lawyers attending our professional development training programmes.

This will be our first centre in Bristol and represents a £1.2m investment in the region’s legal community.  We already enjoy strong links with firms operating across the South West region and our new presence here will strengthen these ties for the benefits of students who choose to study here.

The above images are a representative of the high specifications of our new Bristol centre.

“As a former student, I am delighted that The College of Law is coming to Bristol. The College is the leading provider of professional legal education and training in Europe and its arrival in Bristol will reinforce the city’s position as a major centre for legal excellence and will encourage young graduates to stay and practice in the region. Bristol’s Temple Quarter is an established centre for law firms and therefore an ideal location for the College.”

Jane Oakland, a partner at law firm Clarke Willmott LLP

“This is fantastic for the legal services community in the South West, particularly in Bristol.  The presence of the College reinforces the city’s position as a strong regional hub for the legal services market and will help the region to both keep and attract future talent.”

Leslie Perrin, Chairman of litigation funder Calunius Capital LLP and former Senior Partner of Osborne Clarke.
