Learning Support

The College of Law strives to provide courses and support that are suitable for students with disabilities or learning difficulties. If necessary, we will work with you to help meet any tuition, technical, library or exam challenges. Financial assistance (up to £200) may be available towards the costs of diagnostic tests for students with dyslexia and related conditions.

If you have a learning support requirement please contact us on:

e-mail: llb-learningsupport@lawcol.co.uk
telephone: 0800 289997 (UK) or +44 (0)1483 216000 (international)

Our friendly Learning Support team will then be able to discuss you needs further and make sure you have everything you need ready to start the course in September.  More information can also be found on the Learning Support section of our website.

When you accept your place on the LL.B, you'll be asked to inform us of any disability and/or learning difficulty and at that point we will put together a proposed learning support agreement showing the facilities that will be available.

Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSA)

If you have a disability, you may be entitled to claim extra financial help while studying.  Disabilities covered include long-term illnesses, mental-health conditions and specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. These grants do not depend on income and do not have to be repaid. To find out what you could be entitled to visit the DirectGov website.
