What?

This two-day face-to-face course is designed to introduce junior non-UK lawyers to the important areas of UK corporate law. The training is available on an in-house basis for organisations with a number of delegates. Many of the modules incorporate know-how from the renowned Practical Law Company.

How?

This two-day case is delivered via face-to-face tuition by our highly experienced trainers at a time and location to suit you.

The course is made up of eight sections and aims to enable participants to:

  • Understand the main trading vehicles used in the UK
  • Understand the main contractual and statutory issues in relation to employment law
  • Understand the key principles of UK competition law and merger control
  • Consider different types of debt finance used in the UK
  • Consider the principles behind taking and perfecting security for debt finance
  • Review the regulation of financial markets in the UK and the law on insider dealing, the model code, market abuse and financial promotion
  • Understand the principles of UK tax and some international concepts relevant to UK transactional work
  • Review of equity finance, including IPOs, secondary offers and the Listing, Prospectus and Transparency and Disclosure rules

Training can be delivered either at one of our centres, your premises or an appropriate third party venue nationwide.
