Course overview

What?

In conjunction with the International Bar Association, we offer a range of standalone online study modules covering specialist areas of international corporate practice. Our practice-focused modules are studied over six months and are aimed at graduates and global lawyers of all levels.

Who?

The modules are aimed at graduates and lawyers of all levels with an interest in global legal practice – based in the UK or elsewhere.

How?

These online study modules form part of our LL.M in International Legal Practice, but can also be studied as standalone courses for UK CPD. Modules start in January and July each year and blend flexible online study with one-to-one supervision from a College tutor (known as ‘S-mode’ study).

Each six-month S-mode module focuses on a different aspect of international corporate law and consists of nine units. Each unit equates to 10 to 15 hours of study and includes mandatory submissions and an end of unit assessment. The final unit of each module is a 3,000 to 5,000-word assessment.

Although each module can be taken on a standalone basis, successful completion of six S-mode modules plus a dissertation, in five years, can lead to the award of an LL.M in International Legal Practice. More information on our LL.M in International Legal Practice.

Our flexible S-mode modules can be studied anywhere with a broadband internet connection.

How much?

Each S-mode module accounts for 75% of annual UK CPD.
