How our online CPD works
The online portal
All learning materials are accessed through our secure online portal, meaning you can access training from one convenient location wherever and whenever you want with access to our fully-searchible archive.
With our subscription-basded training solution multiple users can access the system at the same time and our fully-searchable archive means you can watch your training programmes more than once.
CPDFlex customers will have a count-down of hours purchased so you can see how many CPDFlex hours you have remaining – with the ability to top-up as and when you need it.
Core programmes for CPD
Our topical and professionally-produced CPD core programmes are written and presented by qualified lawyers, with contributions from leading figures in the field. The programmes are designed to cut through unnecessary background to get to the essentials – what’s new in the area and what does it mean for you and your clients? The emphasis is firmly on practical application, context and commercial relevance.
The programmes last for around 30 minutes and are broken down into shorter sections so it’s easy to fit learning in around other commitments.
We’ll e-mail you to let you know when new core programmes become available on your selected channels.
Our subscription-based customers can view the programmes individually or in groups by connecting an internet-linked computer to a data projector or TV screen, and can also pause, skip ahead, or go back to sections you wish to revisit and re-enter each section at any time.
You can earn up to two hours CPD per 30-minute programme
Each core or performance skills programme is supported by downloadable study notes and interactive online ‘test and feedback’ exercises – multiple choice questions with immediate scoring that check your understanding of the topic. Users are also encouraged to discuss the issues raised in the programme with colleagues. These supporting activities consolidate learning and could allow you earn up to two CPD hours per 30-minute programme (please note for CPDFlex customers this will count as two CPDFlex hours).
You can earn up to two CPD hours per 30-minute College of Law Media core programme or performance skills programme:
- Watch the programme (30 minutes CPD)
- Read the study notes and complete the test and feedback exercises (up to one hour CPD)
- Discuss the issues raised in the programme with colleagues (30 minutes CPD)
Please note that i-Tutorials are not accredited for CPD.
