Ted BurkeBiography - Ted Burke

Ted Burke became Chief Executive of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in March 2006.  Prior to this he was the managing partner of the firm's US offices.

He specializes in various areas within finance and corporate with a particular emphasis on the energy sector. His experience covers acquisitions and projects in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Ted joined the firm as a partner in 1998 having started his career in 1986 as an associate with Milbank, Tweed Hadley & McCloy where he became a partner in 1994. He received his BA from the University of Vermont and his JD from the Georgetown University Law Center.
