Our strategic partners

Our international reputation for excellence and position at the heart of legal services means we enjoy high profile connections with a growing list of world-class organisations. This speaks volumes about the quality of our work and our genuine commitment to making a positive contribution to the industry.

We place great value on our links with these partners and the unrivalled network of contacts this offers to our students.

Legal employers

We work closely with an impressive range of legal employers, from leading global law firms to the high street, barristers’ chambers, local government and in-house lawyers.

We work with 94 of the top 100 UK law firms, and four out of five of the top global firms – many of whom send their trainees and lawyers exclusively to the College for their legal training.

Industry bodies

The College plays an active role with a wide range of industry bodies. Our industry partners include the Law Society, the Bar Council, the Practical Law Company, Solicitors in Local Government and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.

International partners

The College enjoys close working relationships with a number of key international organisations. We work with the International Bar Association to deliver our LL.M in International Legal Practice and have close links with both IE Law School in Spain and the Renmin University of China Law School. We also work in association with the British Council and The College of Law Australia.

The Open University

We’ve worked with the Open University for many years to offer one of the UK’s most popular and innovative part-time, open-access law degree programmes.

The Sutton Trust

We work in partnership with educational charity the Sutton Trust, leading law firms and top universities to deliver the Pathways to Law programme. This ground-breaking scheme aims to open up the possibility of a career in law to state school students with no family history of university. The scheme currently offers 375 places per year and has helped nearly 1,250 students since its launch in September 2007.

Pathways to Law was shortlisted in the ‘Excellence in Equality and Diversity’ category of the Law Society Excellence Awards 2010.
