The College of Law centre in York offers 2 different services providing FREE advice/assistance to members of the public.
Legal Advice Centre
Do you have a non urgent legal problem on which you would like written advice?
If so, our students may be able to help.
From September to May our students offer FREE preliminary legal advice on a range of issues. Our advice is given in writing under the strict supervision of qualified staff. We may ask you to attend the Centre for an interview and will arrange an appointment with you. Some queries can be dealt with by e-mail without the need for a face to face appointment. We also have outreach clinics in York and Doncaster.

York Employment Rights Line - ERL

If so, ERL may be able to help you.
ERL offers FREE preliminary advice on employment law issues to employees. All advice is given by telephone at weekly clinics held on Wednesday evenings throughout the year. Advice is given by fully qualified specialist employment law solicitors, who work on a voluntary basis.
